About Npc Bands

A band of NPCs that genuinely play Rust's instruments - note by note, out loud, to everyone standing nearby.

This is not an audio file playing near a prop, and the difference is immediately obvious. The NPCs physically perform on Rust's own instruments, and the sound reaches other players exactly as it would if a group of them were standing there playing it. Somebody walking past hears a band, not a speaker.

It arrives with 615 complete songs ready to go - film and television themes, disco and a great deal more - with 250 flagged as crowd-pleasers, so one switch plays only those. It imports your own MIDI files with a single command, so anything you can find as a .mid can be on your server in a minute.

Eleven kinds of member, each placed exactly where you are standing. Seated members have their instrument created with them: piano, drum kit, xylophone. Standing members hold theirs: tuba, trumpet, flute, bass, guitar, jerrycan guitar. For atmosphere there is a dancer who dances while the music plays and stops when it ends, and a singer at a microphone stand.

Every member dresses automatically, carries no floating name and no nameplate dot above their head, and cannot be damaged or killed by players. Their instruments are indestructible too, so the band survives contact with your server.

It needs no other plugins and creates one config file and one data file. Nine playable instruments, dancers, a singer, and 615 songs out of the box.

It is the band that plays in the museum on The Last Siege, so it can be heard working on a real map before being bought for one of your own.

On a roleplay server it is infrastructure rather than decoration: a venue with a band is a place people go at a particular time, and scheduled reasons to gather are the hardest thing to manufacture on a Rust server.

It installs the way every Rust plugin installs: drop the .cs file into your oxide/plugins folder and the config writes itself on first load.

Buying it takes a minute and there is no account to set up first beyond signing in with Steam or Discord - no password to choose and none to lose. Payment goes through PayPal, and the download appears the moment it clears. It stays in your account afterwards. Every wipe, every reinstall, every time Rust breaks something and it gets fixed here - the file is where you left it, and the updated version replaces it without you buying anything again. That is the part worth knowing before you compare prices: this is not a download, it is a licence with a file attached to it.

Support happens in the ticket channel on Discord, which is the only place it happens - no email, no contact form, no queue on somebody else's platform. Open a ticket and it reaches Badgyver directly. If something here is broken by a Rust update, that is where to say so, and fixing it is the job rather than a favour.

A plugin bought on its own runs wherever you like. A plugin that came bundled inside a map is licensed for that map alone - worth knowing if you have seen one of these included with something else.

One licence, for you. It is not resold, shared, given away or published, modified or not, and it is not extracted and reused as parts. Those are the terms everything here is sold under, and they are the reason this catalogue exists to buy from at all.

It is an atmosphere plugin. It adds no gameplay, no economy and no progression - what it adds is that your server has live music in it, which is either worth the price to you or is not.
