Rust Base Designs That Actually Survive a RaidReadRust Base Designs That Actually Survive a RaidGuide · Sep 11, 2026The Community v1.0.0
The Community is a Rust prefab built for clans: a circular, junkyard-style compound with several construction zones for bases and houses, all ringed by a large defensive wall your team can rally behind.
About The Community
The Community is a custom Rust prefab that gives a clan, group or gaming team a home of its own. It is a circular space divided into several construction zones, each one ready for a base or a house, and the whole compound sits behind a large wall that offers your team a line of defence. The look is pure Rust: scrap, salvage and a junkyard atmosphere that blends in with the rest of the island.
A shared base for a whole team
Most groups lose their first hours arguing over where to build. The Community settles the question. Members claim neighbouring plots inside the same ring, allies live side by side, and the wall gives everybody a common front line. It works just as well as a decorative centrepiece on a server that wants a lived-in, survivor-camp feel.
- Circular layout with several construction zones for bases or houses.
- Large surrounding wall that offers defence for the team inside.
- Junkyard-style decoration in the true Rust spirit.
- Room for a clan, group or team to build together.
Size and terrain
The compound is made of 2,794 prefabs from 53 unique prefab types and spans 303.1 × 62.1 × 302.0 m, a footprint about 300 metres across. It brings a heights layer, so it shapes the ground beneath it. It carries no ground textures or topology of its own, which leaves those decisions to your map.
How to use it
- Extract the zip file you receive after purchase.
- Place the prefab files in RustEdit's CustomPrefabs folder.
- Load your map, pick The Community from the Prefab List and position it on open ground.
- Check that the ground around the wall meets your terrain cleanly, then save the map.
Your download unlocks the moment checkout finishes, and updated versions are added to your account. Questions are answered through the contact page. For ideas on what your clan should build inside the walls, read Rust Base Designs That Actually Survive a Raid.
